To celebrate sixteen sweet years as Denver’s most unique neighborhood entertainment and arts center, The Bug Theatre is throwing a one-of-a-kind party and everyone is invited!
While The Bug is still relatively young, their faithful building is not. It’s almost 100 years old and is in need of some improvements to make it more comfortable to their patrons and more energy-efficient. All proceeds from the event will go towards helping make that possible.
Hosted by Freak Train’s GerRee Hinshaw, The Bug’s Sweet 16 Birthday Party and Fundraiser on August 15, 2010, is a celebration like only The Bug can do: film, live theatre, music, dance, performance art, poetry and, of course, freaks.
This spectacular and unique variety show starts at 5:00 p.m. and features everything that makes The Bug Denver’s most incomparable theater. There’ll be plenty of cool prize giveaways, raffles and a silent auction. All this for just a suggested donation of $25 per person (tax deductible). Reservations are strongly suggested as space is limited.
There will also be an ‘Open House’ with live entertainment, food and drinks, and other cool stuff from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations of all sizes will of course be welcome.
Come celebrate The Bug’s Sweet Sixteenth and enjoy the mind-boggling cross-section of entertainment that continues to flourish at the one of a kind Bug Theatre. For more information or to reserve a seat, please call the Bug Line at 303-477-9984.
