Of the shows opening this weekend, these are the ones we want to see. We might agree entirely. We might disagree completely. These shows could end up being great or terrible. As always we encourage you to chime in with your thoughts on our list and what shows you are seeing this weekend.
HIS CHOICE: Dead Man’s Cell Phone at Curious Theatre
I am a big fan of writer Sarah Ruhl’s work and if you have never come across any of it, this show is a good place to start. When a woman answers an abandoned cell phone she gets pulled into the world of the grieving survivors of a man who has passed. It brings an interesting mix of comedy and serious questioning some of life’s basic elements.
Dead Man’s Cell Phone opens September 11th and runs through October 16th. Click the poster for tickets and info!
HER CHOICE: ART at Miner’s Alley
We can think of nothing as compelling as this 1998 Tony Award-Winning Play in the hands of this 2010 Henry Award-Winning company. We expect this three-man comedy to thoroughly tickle our funny bones while pushing our boundaries.
ART runs September 10- October 24 at Miner’s Alley Playhouse. Click the poster for more information and tickets.
