Here is another Monday installment of Theatre in the Dark — a behind-the-scenes look at a current production to celebrate the day of the week when most professional theaters are not in use, or “dark.”
Today’s Theatre in the Dark is a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals for the Chinese Hoops in Traces. I personally love watching rehearsals involving things that can fall down, because in performance they never do, and it’s somehow satisfying to see that they can fall. In this case, it’s so clear that the delicate hoops can be knocked over quite easily, making it all the more impressive when they don’t even graze them when tumbling through them. Traces is touring nationally, and will stop in Denver from March 11 until May 14, 2011.
