A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
Adapted by Michael A. Youngs Directed by Marilyn Spittler
A Christmas Carol is the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly, odious man who learns the importance of generosity and Christmas spirit in London, England during the early 1800s. Forewarned by his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, Scrooge is visited by 3 spirits who show him the error of his ways, how he impacts others and, ultimately, his own fate. In this clever adaptation, produced for all ages, the show utilizes humor, special effects, and larger than life stage puppets built by award winning puppet builder Dave Privett of PlaySoup, Inc. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The cast, under the direction of Marilyn Spittler, features Doug Tisdale, Sr. as Scrooge. Additional cast members include: Bob Jordan, Svea Baxman, Denim Baxman, Mark Como, Mary Beth Gudewicz, Jennie Johnson, Rob Wallace, Leah Smith, Tia Amarel-Elkins, Clayton Russell, Doug Tisdale, Jr., Patrick Call, Cassie Kelso, Jackie Grigg, Josh Work, Evelyn Rocket, Lynn Snyder-Goetz, Dessa Baxman, Kristen Mair, Dustin Shelbourn, Andi Owens, Zach Harder, Parker Durand, Kelsie Shettsline, Emilie Filloon, SarahBeth Johnson, Tabetha Johnson, Sydney Neibauer, Cecilia Shelbourn and Abby Harder.
