Of the shows opening this weekend, these are the ones we want to see. These could be the best shows of the year or these shows could end up being terrible. As always we encourage you to chime in with your thoughts on our list and what shows you are seeing this weekend.
HIS CHOICE: How to Succeed… by Creede Repertory Theatre
From the Creede Rep website: An ambitious young window-washer aims for the corner office – but will his hilariously unorthodox business practices destroy the World-Wide Wicket Company – and his office romance? Before The Mary Tyler Moore Show or The Office, this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical was the original corporate comedy, giving life to such classics as “I Believe in You,” “Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm,” and “Brotherhood of Man.”
With the revival on Broadway receiving eight Tony nominations, this musical theater classic proves it’s still relevant to audiences today. This well-written, funny and thought-provoking piece is sure to be a delight!

HER CHOICE: Becky’s New Car at Theater Company of Lafayette
From the TCL website: An old-fashioned romantic comedy with new twists, Becky’s New Car tells the story of Becky Foster, a 50-something wife and mother who meets a millionaire Prince Charming and faces a hilarious mid-life crisis of major proportions. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life, and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn’t dare.
Denver native Steven Dietz never fails to showcase his quick, witty comedic style, and Becky’s New Car is no exception. See our interview with Dietz and for a glimpse of why we’re sure this is sure to be a solid evening of theatre!
