HIS CHOICE: Uncle Vanya  at Germinal Stage

From the Germinal website: This classic comedy-drama paints an indelible picture of Chekhov’s Russia and of his rich, bittersweet, and deeply human characters. Featuring Terry Burnsed, Eric Victor, Elgin Kelley, Lisa Mumpton, Ed Baierlein, Sallie Diamond, John McDonald, and Trisha Ferlic.

HER CHOICE: The Great Goddess Bazaar  at Square Product Theatre

From the Square Product website: The Great Goddess Bazaar features a menagerie of carefully crafted and compelling female characters coping with the repercussions of life altering choices, each displaying classic elements of comedy and tragedy. Part of an ongoing collaborative exploration of moments of pivotal decision, consequence, and character, portions of this solo performance piece premiered last summer at the Boulder International Fringe Festival as The Goddess Here, where it was honored with a Festival Encore Award. The Great Goddess Bazaar features never-before-seen characters, and spans a wide range of female archetypes and voices in a captivating exploration of the masks we all wear, and what it might really feel like to walk in someone else’s shoes.

Denver theater theatre reviews He Said She SaidFrom the Afterthought website: This groundbreaking “choreopoem” is a spellbinding collection of vivid prose and free verse narratives about and performed by Black women. Capturing the brutal, tender and dramatic lives of contemporary Black women, For Colored Girls… offers a transformative, riveting evening of provocative dance, music and poetry. Premiered by the Henry Street Settlement, Joseph Papp’s Public Theatre and later on Broadway.
