Ignite Theatre Announces 2012 Season

Ignite Theatre, the newly formed company under Lucent Arts, that represents the next step in the evolution of Gravity Defied, announced its exciting 2012 season! See below for descriptions of each.

The Busy Word is Hushed – Directed by Bernie Cardell

From DPS: Hannah, a minister and Bible scholar, finds her faith at odds with that of Thomas, her estranged, wayward son. But when an inquisitive young writer hired to assist Hannah with her latest publication learns painful secrets from Hannah’s past, she spies a risky, unconventional opportunity for reconciliation. “…intricacies of faith—as well as issues of sexuality, love and loss—are addressed in this provocative and moving new play…a refreshing take on the overlap between religion and homosexuality.” —TheaterMania.com.

The Great American Trailer Park Musical – Directed by Pam Clifton

From theatrewiki: Norbert and Jeannie have been married for 20 years, and there is little electricity left in their relationship, a situation exacerbated by Jeannie’s agoraphobia, in which she refuses to leave their trailer. Norbert is drawn by Pippi the Stripper, who comes to town. Spring Awakening – Directed by Amy S. Osatinski

Sweeney Todd – Directed By Bernie Cardell
