Of the shows opening this weekend, these are the ones we want to see. These could be the best shows of the year or these shows could end up being terrible. As always we encourage you to chime in with your thoughts on our list and what shows you are seeing this weekend.
HIS CHOICE: The Bad Man at Creede Rep
At the end of Billy Hell, the deadly gunfighter, Silly Billy, was shot dead. But the love of his life isn’t willing to take dead for an answer. She said she’d follow him to hell if need be. And so she will. The thrilling and darkly comedic culmination of the Billy & Bessy saga heralds the end of the Old West. The time of gunslingers and Lakota, mystery and lawlessness is ending. But not without a fight.
HER CHOICE: Faithful at The Edge Theatre Company
From the Edge website: A hit man discovers the pros and cons of getting to know his victim in this dark comedy. Margaret’s marriage is in sad shape, and she’s sunk into a deep depression. Margaret finds that she’s not alone in the house; Tony, a hit man, has been hired to kill her by her own husband! Margaret starts to feel like death isn’t such a good idea after all, while Tony isn’t so sure he wants to kill her anymore.
