Spotlight Theatre Company opens their 2012-2013 with “Murder on the Nile” by Agatha Christie running August 18-September 22.Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m. at The John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place, Denver.
“Murder on the Nile” is directed by Bernie Cardell. All aboard for mystery and murder! Once again Agatha Christie, the Queen of Crime, has developed an ingenious plot that will keep you guessing until the very end! After Simon Mostyn leaves his fiancée Jacqueline to marry heiress Kay Ridgeway, Jacqueline plots revenge and follows the couple on their honeymoon aboard a paddle steamer down the Nile. When Kay ends up dead, murder is the only answer, and Jacqueline is the only suspect…or so it seems. For also aboard are a motley group of passengers who are all revealed to have mysterious connections with Kay and her fortune.

Started in 1998, Spotlight Theatre Company has now entered its 14th season. After beginning in Westminster, they made their home in the quaint 70 seat theatre in the West Colfax E-vents Center located in the heart of Lakewood and in 2008 made the move to Old Towne Lowry to the John Hand Theater in Colorado Free University.
