Directed by Paul Dwyer and presented in partnership with Starkey Productions, Little Shop of Horrors is a comedy horror rock musical about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood.
The all-star cast includes Mark Middlebrooks as Seymour Krelborn, the nerdish florist who finds his chance for success and romance with Audrey (played by Joanie Beyette) through the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed. The plant, Audrey II, is voiced by Robert Johnson and manipulated by Rich Cadwallader. With Tim Fishbaugh as Mr. Mushnik, Jalyn Webb, Anna High, Kerri Monnerat as Chiffon/Crystal/Ronette and Seth Caikowski as Orin Scrivello, this is a stellar cast.
“Producer Ronni Gallup has assembled an amazing cast that will be supported by our phenomenal artistic staff,” said Paul Dwyer, Director for Little Shop of Horrors. “Our goal is to present the audience a theatrical evening of musical comedy that will be perfect for the entire family.”
The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown),” “Somewhere That’s Green” and “Suddenly, Seymour.”
