All actors should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue in a Brooklyn/Jewish accent except those auditioning for Artie should not have the accent.

Mort – about 50, Artie’s father
Shirley – mid 40s, Artie’s mother; Mort’s wife
Bella – 70s, Mort’s mother
Sid – late 70s, Mort’s father
Ceil – mid 40s, Mort’s sister
This show runs from March 8 – March 31, 2013 in the Bond Trimble Theatre
SYNOPSIS: Grief-stricken Mort is losing his mind. He recently lost his wife Shirley who choked on a piece of moo shoo pork, leaving him uncomfortably alone with their teenage son. Just when he can’t grieve any more, the sudden arrival of a very much alive Shirley explodes everything. Pulitzer-Prize-winning author Donald Margulies gives us one surprise after another in the story of one heartwarming and hilarious family.
