Auditions for COUNTRY IS Musical Concert
The Parker Arts, Culture and Events (PACE) Center is holding auditions for a new musical concert titled COUNTRY IS, The Music of Mainstreet. The show is conceived and directed by Rick Seeber, with musical arrangements by Michael Gribbin and choreography by Melissa McCarl.
COUNTRY IS, The Music of Mainstreet is an American premiere musical concert celebrating uniquely American music resonating with simple, honest stories of yearning, love, joy, hard-working, hard-living, hard-playing people with a multi-talented Colorado cast of four and a sizzlin’ five-piece band.
Auditions are Oct. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. by appointment only at the Parker Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet in downtown Parker. Call 303.805.3364 to schedule an audition time.
Experienced singers and actors ages 18 to 45 with strong performing abilities and exceptional pop/stage singing voices are encouraged to attend. Auditioners should prepare two, 16–32 bar vocal selections (one up-tempo, one ballad) that show your voice at its best. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Recorded music or acapella audition will eliminate casting consideration. Those auditioning will sing first and then may be asked to learn a movement combination and to sing further from the score. A current hard copy headshot and resume are required. All roles are well-paid non-union positions though AEA guest artist contracts may be available for the production.
