10/27 The Seafarer by Ashton Entertainment

Auditions will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at the Aurora Fox Studio for the Ashton Entertainment production of Conor McPherson’s The Seafarer. Needed are four men ages 40-65. The role of Sharky is cast; all other roles are available. All roles require an Irish dialect. Please come prepared to read from the script – sides available on request from thejohnashton@gmail.com. (Please indicate the role[s] you wish to audition for.)

Available roles:
Richard Harkin, Sharky’s older brother, recently gone blind, late 50s/60s
Ivan Curry, old friend of the Harkins, late 40s
Nicky Giblin, a friend of Richards’s, late 40s/50s
Mr. Lockhart, an acquaintance of Nicky’s, 50s

Rehearsals begin January 2, 2013, and will be held Monday-through-Thursday evenings, and possibly a few weekend days. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons from February 8 through March 3, 2013, in the Aurora Fox Studio. These are paid positions.

This regional premiere of The Seafarer is produced by John Ashton, directed by Michael Stricker – creative consultant: Wendy Franz; stage manager: Kelcey Pfluger.
