(6) Lead Roles
Ensign Nellie Forbush – She’s going to wash that man right out of her hair….maybe.
Emile DeBecque – The aforementioned “man” – one with a dark past and hopeful future.
Bloody Mary – She can sell you anything and everything.
Liat – Bloody Mary’s daughter
Lt. Joseph Cable – A young officer stationed in the South Pacific
Luther Billis – The wisecracking, coconut-bra wearing misfit.

ALSO NEEDED:  (2) Asian American Children – one boy and one girl (ages 5-7).
ENSEMBLE:  (20-30) additional people will also be cast to round out the world of the South Pacific.

PREPARE:
16 – 32 bars from a musical of your choice.
Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No taped music or a cappella allowed   Also, please bring a headshot, resume, and list of conflicts
Dance auditions will take place at callbacks.

REHEARSALS:
All rehearsals will take place in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch area. Rehearsals will begin Saturday, February 23rd and will take place on Saturdays and Sundays during the day.  There will also be a few select music rehearsals on weeknights. All actors are paid a $225.00 stipend.

TECH WEEK:
April  22 – 25, 2013 at the Lakewood Cultural Center; Call time 6:00pm

PERFORMANCES:
April 26 – May 12 at the Lakewood Cultural Center
Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
There may be additional Thursday night performances on May 2 & 9 (stipend increased accordingly)

SYNOPSIS:
Fall in love all over again!  On a South Pacific island during World War II, love blooms between a young nurse and a secretive Frenchman who’s being courted for a dangerous military mission. Favorite songs include “Some Enchanted Evening,” “There is Nothing Like a Dame,” “Bali Ha’I,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair” and “Younger Than Springtime.”
