You are invited to “Perform at the “CABARET” with us this year in the fourth annual Lafayette Street Players’ musical revue “BACK TO BROADWAY,” lively music, singing and dancing from the Broadway stage, past and present. Songs from Carousel and Guys and Dolls to WICKED and Book of Mormon.
Everyone who auditions gets cast in the show.

There are vocal solo and ensemble opportunities as well as dancing opportunities.
This is a multigenerational show.
We welcome those of all ages from 5 yrs [by JAN 1, 2013] to “the sky’s the limit.”
Performers will be cast according to talent and rehearsal availability. There is a onetime $45 production fee to cover some of the costs of costumes and props since most performers will be in 4 -8 numbers. The reduced rate for families is as follows: 2 in a family $75, three or more in a family $100.
Please be prepared to SING BOTH of the following songs at your audition:

Please be ready to sing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and your favorite song.
There will be a group movement/dance audition every half hour. Please dress accordingly. If you have special abilities that you may want to show us, come prepared [i.e. tap shoes, gymnastics clothing, etc]

This is a tight production schedule, so your regular attendance will be necessary.
Rehearsals are limited and necessary. Cast should attend all that apply to them.
REHEARSAL AND PERFROMANCE SCHEDULES
1. Two all-cast introductory sing-through. All cast members are invited to attend both sessions: Tuesday, December 4th and Monday December 10th at 6:30p, but are required to attend at least one.
We’ll have practice song and choreography files to send to you electronically once you are cast. December is the time to learn your lyrics, You need to know the lyrics to the songs in which you are cast by first rehearsal. Rehearsals are for putting the lyrics together with the choreography and perfecting the vocals, NOT for learning the lyrics.
2. MONDAY evening REHEARSALS : ADULTS ONLY :

You actually have your first meeting on Sunday, DEC 30 1-4p then on MONDAYS after that: JAN 7,14,21,28 6:15-9:30p
3. SATURDAYS JAN 5,12,19,26 and FEB 2 9a -5p
AM-9a-12:15p teens/adults: solos/ensembles/specialty numbers
PM-12:15-5p specialty numbers/large ensembles with adults, teens and for kids who want more performance time
4. SUNDAYS 12:45-4 JAN 6, 13, 20, 26 Multigenerational groups. Solos. Mixed ensembles. Extra practice for those who need it for MAMMA MIA and You’ll Never Walk Alone
5. Technical Rehearsal Sunday FEB 3 1-5p or until we get it right
6. Dress Rehearsals FEB 5 Tuesday 5:30p-9:30-ish
