The Edge Theater announces auditions for RACE, by David Mamet.
Race premiered on Broadway on December 6, 2009 and is an Edge Regional premier in Colorado. Multiple award winning playwright David Mamet tackles America’s most controversial topic in a provocative new tale of sex, guilt, and bold accusations.
Two lawyers find themselves defending a wealthy white executive charged with raping a black woman. When a new legal assistant gets involved in the case, the opinions that boil beneath explode to the surface.

Jack Lawson and Charles Strickland, two white men 40-55
Henry Brown, a black man 40-55
Susan, a black woman in her twenties.
Audition date: Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10:00am-1:00pm, by appointment
Requirements: A one minute or less dramatic monologue, be prepared to read from the script

Rehearsal schedule is flexible and will be designed once cast. It will start light in January and heavy in February.
Each actor will receive a minimum stipend of $300 plus a percentage of the net sales.
