Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 pm (Children 13 and younger at 6:00 pm)
Friday, April 29th at 7:00 for final callbacks, if needed. Times to be determined by the director.
All auditions will be held in the auditorium at Highlands Ranch High School
9375 Cresthill Lane, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130 (Located on the northwest corner of University and Cresthill Lane)
This show will run the last two weekends of July on Friday evenings, Saturdays (times TBD) and Sundays (matinee). Tech week will run July 18-21, 2011.
All performances will take place in the auditorium at Highlands Ranch High School.
How to Prepare
Selections from the script are included in this audition packet. These are the scenes the director intends to use in the auditions. The full script can be purchased online at Amazon.com. The correct version is “dramatized by Patricia Gray”. It is recommended that you read the full play and/or the original text by J.R.R. Tolkien in order to familiarize yourself with the characters prior to your audition.
What to bring with you
A headshot (does not need to be professional, just a current picture of yourself.) Any picture, any size, is acceptable.
Your acting resume (or a list of parts you have previously played.)
Your calendar, as you will be asked to list any date conflicts for rehearsals. The rehearsal schedule will be built around the dates submitted by cast members so it is crucial this information be accurate.
If you purchased a copy of the script and would like to use it, bring it with you. Copies will be available.
