5/19 and 5/20 Bad Habits by Aloft

Bad Habits, by Terrence McNally

Directed by Guillermo Gomez

DUNELAWN is an expensive retreat for the unhappily married.  Led by Dr. Pepper, who has a unique approach to marital guidance, the patients are encouraged to fulfill their every whim such as smoking, drinking and promiscuity.  RAVENSWOOD, on the other side of the pond, is led by Dr. Toynbee with a much different approach.  His patients are treated with straight jackets and tranquilizers to calm their “bad habits.”  Both retreats offer a hilarious look at the weaknesses of people under the close scrutiny of the audience’s watchful eye.

Looking for: 6-12 males, ages 20-50, doubling possible; 1-3 females, ages 20-35, doubling possible.  Please prepare a 1-2 minute comedic monologue and bring a head shot and resume.

Auditions will be held: Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Callbacks 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

The show runs from Friday August 3 to Saturday, August 25 with shows every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m.  Industry Night will be Monday, July 30 and a preview is scheduled for Thursday, August 2.  Rehearsals will be select weeknights and one or two Saturday afternoons as needed.
