5/29 & 5/30 Children of Eden at Platte Valley Players

The Platte Valley Players and Brighton High School are happy to announce auditions for their collaborative theatre production of Children Of Eden which will include roles for students K-12, as well as adults.

Audition Dates:

Tuesday, May 29th    5:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M.   (call the phone # below to reserve an audition time)

Wednesday, May 30th  5:00-7:30 P.M.    (call the phone # below to reserve an audition time)

*a dance audition will take place from 7:30-8:30 P.M. on May 29th and May 30th

Callbacks will be held June 1st  5:00 P.M.   Be prepared to sing and read from the script and score.  Come prepared to move/dance (if needed)

 

How to Schedule An Audition Time:

Call 303-659-8506 to reserve an audition slot.  All auditioners will be asked to stay for the dance call on the day of your audition (dance call: 7:30-8:30 P.M.)

What to Prepare:

Prepare 16-32 bars of music from Children of Eden or another appropriate musical selection.  Please bring sheet music.  No IPods/CDs or personal accompaniment.  Come dressed to dance/move.

 

Performances Dates:

September 6, 7, 8 @ 7:00 P.M. and September 9 @ 2:00 P.M.

September 13, 14, 15 @ 7:00 P.M. and September 16 @ 2:00 P.M.

Performances will be held at Brighton High School Auditorium.

About the show:

Approximately 50-60 people will be cast.  There are 3-5 roles for adults, 2-3 parts for children and 10-12 parts for high school/young adults as well as multiple storytellers and chorus.  This is an endeavor to create a growth experience for the Brighton High School Drama program pulling high school students together with members of the community to create a high quality community theatre production.

Rehearsal Information:

Rehearsals will begin in June with choir rehearsals in the evening:  two times per week.

Starting July 23, rehearsals will begin 5 days a week 5:00 – 7:30 PM   Plus possible Saturday rehearsals.  Limited absences can be worked around, but bring your conflicts to your audition.
