Sherlock Holmes: John Watson’s Body

Match wits, once again, with the legendary detective in this world premiere! Sherlock and his loyal sidekick Watson encounter too many suspects and a disappearing body in this delightful and intriguing mystery.
Auditions: Sunday, August 26 and Monday, August 27 at 7 PM at the Mary Miller Theater. No appointment necessary; just choose one night to attend. Callbacks TBD.
We are seeking 6 men and 4 women for the cast. One boy between the ages of 11 and 15 will also be cast.
There will be cold readings from the script; a two minute contemporary monologue is optional. Please be prepared to list all scheduling conflicts. A British dialect is required.
Rehearsals September 4 – October 25, Monday through Thursday evenings. (Not all actors will be called to every rehearsal.) The cast must be available for the entire tech week, October 21 – 25.
Performances: October 26 – November 17, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM. There will be two Sunday performances at 2 PM on November 3 and 10.

HOLMES: The great detective.
WATSON: A true-blooded Englishman, bright enough…unless he stands next to Holmes.
DOVE: An impetuous adventurer.
LADY DELTON: 30-40 a level-headed aristocrat.
LORD DELTON: Her husband, slightly older, blustery.
IRIS CLAYPOOL: A family friend, wry and worldly.
BENTON PAYNE: A gentleman, charming.
MRS. COX: A housekeeper.
ROSE: A maid.
BUSBY: A boy, 11-15: a former Baker Street Irregular.
BRADSTREET: An Inspector, kind of a dandy for a copper
GERARDI: A body. (will double with BRADSTREET)
