Out Boulder to Produce Landmark Marriage Equality Play
by Academy Award-Winning Screenwriter of “Milk” & “J. Edgar”
Out Boulder and guest director Colleen Mylott are thrilled to announce auditions for a staged reading of “8,” a play chronicling the historic trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California’s Proposition 8, written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk & J. Edgar).
We are casting 21 roles and looking for passionate actors, students and community members of various ages and genders to participate in this exclusive staged reading event being held in Boulder on Friday December 6th at 7PM.
Rehearsals will take place periodically between mid-October through December (approx. 8 total). Proceeds from the event will benefit American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and their ongoing fight to secure full federal marriage equality.
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD:
Fri. Sept. 28th 3-6 PM and Sat. September 29th from 1-4 PM
All are welcome to audition. No advanced preparation required.
Auditions will be cold reads from the script in 30 minute time slots.
Auditions will be held in Lincoln Studio at Naropa University’s Main Campus
