“At first glance the language is hard to digest, but its bold execution makes it one of the best of modern renditions of classical works. The brilliant translation is one of the perks, another is how the ensemble shows well how much fun they have with their story to tell.”

LASTING IMPRESSION: It’s not often that a modern, acclaimed playwright takes on a classic text and choses to adapt it, while keeping it in verse. It’s even more rare that this kind of new work makes one of its first stops in Denver – we’re sure it’ll go on to great places from here. This play tickled our brains and tightened our tummies (from laughing so much). Its influence also hung around long enough to inspire us to write what is easily our favorite review of the year – also written in verse.
