He Said/She Said’s Favorite of 2011, Number 6: Circle Mirror Transformation at Curious

LASTING IMPRESSION: This small cast was absolutely airtight and realistically completed a marathon of small scenes to tell the story of an acting-class-within-a-play.  Faced with the challenge of delivering scripted scenes of improvisational games, the cast was incredibly cohesive and a real joy to watch. Each character had his or her own growth trajectory, and each performer gave a compelling and nuanced performance that slowly revealed each character’s depth not just over the course of the play, but continued to develop over time.
