Auditions for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street are May 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for adults and teens over 16 years of age at the PACE Center. Call 303.805.6800 to set an audition appointment. Be prepared with a one-minute monologue and 32 bars of a show tune. Bring your own CD or iPod accompaniment. There is no fee for this non-paid role show. Callbacks are May 13 and 14. If called back, auditioners will be asked to perform a song from Sweeney Todd, accompaniment provided.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 3:30 p.m., May 16 to Aug. 15 at Mainstreet Center and/or PACE Center. Performances are Aug. 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 at the PACE Center. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is directed by David Truhler and presented by Classic Acts.

ABOUT THE MAINSTREET CENTER

Located in the heart of Parker’s historic downtown, the Mainstreet Center serves as an important cultural and recreational hub for the Town. Originally opened in 1915 as the Parker School House, the building operated as a school until 1967. It was acquired by the Town of Parker in 1995 and renamed the Mainstreet Center.
